Kinepolis Enschede opened in august 2000 as Cinestar and is a large cinema complex with 10 halls and 2700 seats. Early 2016, after a period of reconstructing, Kinepolis brought its cinema to the latest levels with large screens, state-of-the art technologies such as 3d, hfr, and Dolby 5.1. Kinepolus mainly offers commercial movies. Inside the complex are few restaurants, also accessible when you're not seeing a film.

The cozy Concordia in the innercity has a focus on international and arthouse films. Like everywhere in The Netherlands, films are shown in original audio with subtitles. Except for kidsmovies, they often have an additional dubbed version.
